The mental stabilizer ritual

Copaiba essential oil can quickly create a shift in our mental and emotional state, lifting us from a negative mindset to one of greater spaciousness, filled with possibilities. Here’s how to create your own “ Mental Stabilizer” oil blend.

Mix 5 drops of Copaiba with 3 drops of Cedarwood essential oil. Multiply the amounts at this ratio to fill a carefully washed and dried 5 ml oil bottle. Perform the following ritual with this blend to shift negative feelings and dysfunctional mental states towards a more positive and creative outlook.

Marma points on face
  1. Shake the bottle very well and then roll between the palms for a few moments.
  2. Slowly open the bottle and take a deep breath of the oil.
  3. Feel your feet fully connected to the earth.
  4. Turn the bottle on to your right middle finger and then place the finger on the marma point Jatru. This is the point that lies in the centre of the sternum, 3 fingers width below the suprasternal notch. As you hold your finger on the point, slowly turn your head left and then back to centre 3 times in a slow smooth motion, keeping your eyes open, while maintaining a feeling of gentleness. Then slowly repeat the exercise to the right side.
  5. Turn the bottle on to your right middle finger and then place it on the marma point Hanu, which is on the middle line directly below the lower lip, in a little valley. Make small circular movements on this point for about 20 seconds as you allow your breathing to be slow and deep.
  6. Turn the bottle on to your right middle finger and then place it on the marma point Oshtha, which is directly under the nose. Make small circular movements on this point for about 20 seconds as you allow your breathing to be slow and deep.
  7. Turn the bottle on to your right middle finger and then place it on the marma point Ajna, also known as the 3rd eye, in the centre of the forehead, a little above the line of the eyebrows. Make small circular movements on this point for about 20 seconds as you allow your breathing to be slow and deep.
  8. Turn the bottle on to your right middle finger and then place it on the marma point Kapala. This point lies centrally on the upper brow at the hairline. Make small circular movements on this point for about 20 seconds as you allow your breathing to be slow and deep.

On completion, sit for a while and just breathe deeply in a relaxed manner. At this stage, it
is wonderful to move into some project that you wish to complete. You will find your focus is
enhanced with deep levels of awareness, concentration and energy.
